Luzia is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics at LSE. Her primary research interests are fertility choices and the trend of falling birth rates everywhere in the world.

She is currently working on a project that involves IVF data from the UK and estimating how the uptake of IVF depends on how much NHS funding is available.

Before joining LSE, Luzia was a predoctoral research fellow at the Global Priorities Institute Oxford.

Luzia holds an MSc in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University Berlin, and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Goettingen.
