Liliana joined LSE as Assistant Professor in 2019.
Her research focuses on International Finance and Macroeconomics, with publications across leading journals across economic and finance, such as the Review of Economic Studies and the Journal of Finance. She is an associate editor of the Journal of International Economics. In 2021, she was obtained a Starting Grant founded by the European Research Council and UKRI Guarantee for the project “A Micro to Macro Approach to International Capital Flows”. She has been an academic consultant for the Bank of England between 2002 and 2026. She is also a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research.
