Katariina is currently working on the question of what makes up a meaningful life for animals, and her research focuses on animal autonomy, culture, and dignity. Katariina has a BA in Theoretical Philosophy from the University of Helsinki, and a MSc from Hólar University. After starting her PhD at LSE, she was a Visiting Research Trainee at York University, Toronto.
