Jess Moo Young

About
Jess is a Policy Officer and Project Lead at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre).
The TPI Centre provides asset owners and managers with publicly available data on the climate performance of companies, banks and countries. She conducts research and analysis of the world’s largest corporate greenhouse gas emitters to evaluate progress on the transition to a net zero economy. In particular, Jess assesses companies’ disclosure of emissions reduction targets and decarbonisation strategies, including capital allocation, climate policy engagement, and Just Transition planning.
Background
Prior to joining the TPI Centre, Jess worked at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), where she advocated for industrial decarbonisation policies and federal investment in emerging technologies. Previously, she supported climate and sustainability policy implementation at the World Resources Institute’s NDC Partnership. She also has experience working in water-related sustainable development programming at Habitat for Humanity International. Jess holds a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College and a master’s degree in public policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University.
