Jaime Polanco-Jimenez holds a Ph.D. in Economics (KU Leuven & Pontificia Universidad Javeriana) and serves as a Researcher at LEER KU Leuven and a Visiting Fellow at LSE's WISPPRH.
His research applies causal inference and applied microeconomics to human capital development. His current projects include experimental research evaluating AI-powered tools for post-secondary planning and research development. His recent publications feature work on the impacts of infrastructure on education and factors influencing STEM participation (NESET Report for the European Commission).
