Jackie McAndrew is the Centre Manager for The Jeremy Coller Centre for Animal Sentience, which conducts interdisciplinary research into the needs, feelings, and behaviours of animals.

In her role, Jackie works with the Centre Director, Professor Jonathan Birch to deliver on the research Centre’s priorities, support research activities and act as the key interface between the Centre and its networks across LSE and externally. She oversees a wide range of activities including impact and engagement, financial and human resource management, events, marketing, and communications.

Jackie is closely aligned with the mission of the Centre and has an interest in interdisciplinary approaches to real-world challenges that drive positive change. She holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy with Psychology from the University of Warwick and was recently awarded for LSE’s Certificate Course in Strategic Decision-Making.

Jackie joined LSE in 2022 as an Executive Programmes Manager within the Department of Health Policy, where she was recognised with the Student Experience Ambassador Award and Excellence in Education Award in 2024. Since becoming Centre Manager in August 2025, she has been enjoying the opportunity to establish key infrastructure within the Centre; developing operational systems, processes and supporting a collaborative team culture.
