About

My research interests are in mathematical optimisation and discrete mathematics, including algebraic and geometric methods in integer optimisation, discrete and convex geometry, and the algorithmic geometry of numbers. I am also interested in Diophantine approximations and additive number theory.

I am a Professor of Operational Research at the School of Computational and Mathematical Sciences (COMAT)

at Cardiff University. Before moving to Cardiff in 2007, I was a research fellow at the University of Edinburgh and a Lise Meitner Research Fellow at TU Wien. I completed my PhD in mathematics at the Institute of Mathematics of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMPAN) https://www.impan.pl/en/ in Warsaw in 2001 under the supervision of Prof. Andrzej Schinzel.
