Dr Dustin Voss is a Policy Officer in the Department for Location Policy, Regional and European Affairs of the German Chamber of Skilled Crafts in Cologne, Germany.

Until 2026, he was Senior Researcher in Political Economy at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies. His research interests include the international and comparative political economy with a particular focus on asset ownership and inequality, demographic change and ageing societies, and housing policy. Dustin was educated at the London School of Economics, where he obtained an MSc in European Political Economy in 2017 and a PhD in European Studies in 2022. Dustin has held visiting research positions in Stockholm and London.

His work has appeared in Perspectives on Politics, Socio-Economic Review, New Political Economy, and Comparative European Politics.

Dustin won the 2025 Best Paper Prize from the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) and the 2025 Best Journal Article Prize from the MPIfG Alumni Association.
