Carmen is an MRes Economics student on the MRes/PhD Economics programme in the Department of Economics. Her primary research interests are labour and urban economics.

More specifically, she studies shocks to labour markets, economic integration and technological change, and the impact of jobs on well-being and social welfare.

Before joining the Department, she was a Predoctoral Fellow at Yale University for 2 years. She has also worked as a research assistant at the University of California, San Diego and at CEMFI, and as an intern in the Department of Policy Planning at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Carmen holds an MSc in Economics from UCL, and a Dual Bachelor in Economics and International Studies at Carlos III University of Madrid.
