Beyza is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics at LSE. Her primary research interests lie at the intersection of development, political and behavioural economics.

Her work is currently focused on causally identifying the institutional practices and social norms that hinder progress in developing countries.

Before joining the programme, she worked as a research specialist at the University of Chicago, and as a research assistant at LMU Munich.

Beyza holds an MSc in Economics from LMU Munich, and a BSc in Economics from Bogazici University.
