Ben is a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics. His primary research interests are public economics, labour economics, and education.

Before joining the programme, he was a pre-doctoral research assistant in the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE. Previously, he was employed as a research assistant in the Labor, Pensions and Education Department at the Dutch research institute CPB. He has also worked on topics related to the determinants of health inequality, the health effects of a pension reform in the Netherlands, as well as the impact of minimum wages.

Ben holds an MSc in Economics from LSE and a BSc in Economics and Business from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
