About
Beatrice Lorenz is a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at LSE. Her research explores questions in the epistemology of AI, particularly whether and how we can acquire knowledge from AI applications, and what kinds of knowledge these systems might provide. She is also interested in how knowledge is distributed on the internet, with a focus on the epistemic shifts involved in moving from traditional search engines as the primary means of finding information to the growing use of LLM-based search.
