Ali Majothi is a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at LSE, supervised by Professor Richard Bradley and Professor J. McKenzie Alexander. His thesis investigates the role of deliberation in decision making, particularly its potential to bridge the theoretical gap between perfectly and boundedly rational agents, with the broader aim of constructing a deliberation-based theory of choice. His other research interests include game theory and the connections between experience, language, and mathematics.
Prior to starting his PhD, he completed a BSc in Mathematics, Statistics and Business and an MSc in Philosophy of Science at the LSE, as well as a PGCE in Mathematics at King’s College London.
