About
About
Alejandro's professional experience spans from international climate policy advisory to sustainability program evaluation, working at different stages for the Mexican Ministry of Finance, the UNFCCC, and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
His research examines how human activities influence biodiversity and how these ecological changes affect the wellbeing of both societies and ecosystems. Using species distribution, ecosystem services, and remote sensing data, he analyses how public and private sector policies shape biodiversity outcomes. I am also interested in the theoretical foundations of how economics conceptualizes and studies biodiversity and ecological systems.
