Aisha is a PhD candidate in the Department of International Relations at LSE, where her research focuses on resource sharing and critical minerals, taking a comparative international view.
Prior to starting the PhD Aisha worked on donor-funded programmes in the international development sector, managing programmes in Pakistan and Jordan focused on climate change and security and justice sector reform, and contributing to gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) across additional programming. Aisha has additional experience in social impact consulting, and in social impact assessment for major infrastructure projects.
Aisha has sat on the Board of Amnesty International Canada (English-speaking) since 2024. She holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Toronto. Her research is funded by the LSE Studentship.
