Ailin studies agglomeration economies and patterns of spatial and intergenerational mobility across and within cities. She combines quantitative spatial modelling with empirical analysis and draws, where relevant, on insights from finance. Her current research explores how a portfolio perspective can advance our understanding of urban growth, risk, and quality of life.
Ailin holds an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics and a BA in Finance from Renmin University of China.
