We're number one in the UK for psychology

The Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at LSE has been ranked number one in the UK for psychology for the third year in a row by the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027.
This recognition is a testament to the talent, commitment and hard work of colleagues within the department and across LSE. It reflects the strength of our teaching, research and wider contribution to the field of psychological and behavioural science.
We are grateful to our staff, students and collaborators for their ongoing commitment and support. Their contributions continue to shape the department's success and help us build on this achievement.
Professor Alex Gillespie, Head of the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science, commented: “To be ranked first three years running is a credit to our colleagues, whose research-led teaching engages with problems in the wider world. It is equally a credit to our exceptional students, who throw themselves into their studies and push us to keep improving”.
