About me

Iván is a Research Assistant on the LSE Middle East Centre project ‘Global Identity in an Uncertain World.’ He is also an LSE PhD Studentship recipient at the Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science. His research is concerned with how the relationship between societal factors and psychological mechanisms shape human behaviour and decision-making under socioeconomic strain. His areas of research include social justice, stigma, and wellbeing and social change.

Before coming to London, he worked as a research assistant in the areas of social justice and social policy, looking at the implications of social identities and socio-political attitudes for community reintegration. He holds an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation from the University of Oxford, an MSc in Psychosocial and Community Intervention and a Licentiate degree (equivalent to BSc + MSc) in Psychology complemented with a Diploma in Psychosocial Interventions in Crisis, Emergency and Disaster Situations from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
