The LSE Middle East Centre is offering an exciting opportunity for two LSE undergraduate students to work on translation and research in Arabic for Centre projects.
The post-holders will be based at the LSE Middle East Centre in London and will report to Nesrin Alrefaai, Visiting Fellow and Arabic Content Editor. Some remote working will be possible if needed.
Hours: Average of 5.5 hours per week (5 weeks)
Hourly Rate: £20.16 per hour
Start date: January 2022
The Research Assistants will help with:
- Translating material such as website content, blogs, executive summaries of research reports from English to Arabic
- Undertaking research in Arabic on materials related to methodology and academic writing as part of the Centre’s Arabic Research Methodologies project
- Summarising findings of research in English
The successful candidates must be enrolled at LSE as an undergraduate student, have native-level fluency in Arabic, specifically reading and writing, have strong writing, administration and organisational skills and attention to detail.
