About

Roop Bhadury is a PhD Candidate in Information Systems and Innovation in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His research explores how artificial intelligence is shaped by, and in turn reshapes, organisational arrangements, knowledge work and innovation.

His doctoral work focuses on AI ecosystems and the organisation of work with generative AI. He examines AI ecosystems as evolving arrangements across business, innovation, entrepreneurial and knowledge contexts. A further stream investigates how cognitive work and decision authority are organised in human-AI collaboration. He is also developing a model of AI-augmented knowledge work in which human practitioners retain responsibility for direction, evaluation and integration across multiple projects.

Before joining LSE, Roop spent over two decades founding and leading technology ventures in the United States, Australia and India. He has developed products across advertising, marketing, education and healthcare, led technical and design teams, and worked with startups, universities, government and large corporations. This experience informs his research on emerging technologies, work practices and organisational forms. Roop holds an MBA in Marketing and Research and a Master of Technology Management from Griffith University, and has also completed the General Management Program from Harvard Business School.
