About me

Ravneet Bawa is an MRes/PhD candidate in the Management - Marketing programme. She comes to the programme with 14 years of work experience, split evenly between technology and commercial leadership positions. In her most recent full-time position she oversaw brand marketing and product development for the retail brands of Newfold Digital (previously EIG) in APAC. She graduated on the merit list with a Masters in Business Administration from the Indian School of Business with a dual specialisation in Marketing and Leadership and Strategy. Prior to this she worked in product development at iGatePatni, IBM, and Infosys. She has a Bachelors in Technology with a specialisation in ECE.

Ravneet’s research interests span the breadth of consumer psychology on digital platforms, with a focus on applied research for consumer well-being. She is particularly interested in questions of influences, persuasion, social preferences and the architecture of goals. Children and young consumers are of interest to her from a constituency standpoint. Amongst her active research projects is one looking at parental mediation, attitudes, and influences on children’s aspirations to be Youtube creators.
