Dr. Xiaoran Hu is an Assistant Professor of Management at the LSE’s Department of Management. Xiaoran’s research examines how cultural values such as power distance shape leadership effectiveness. His research also applies behavioural insights and various quantitative methods to understand workplace phenomenon, spanning the areas of team conflict, social network, and emotions. His research has been published in Organization Science.
Dr. Hu received his Ph.D. in Organisational Behaviour from the London Business School, his M.A. in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia University in the City of New York, and his B.A. in Finance from Southeast University in China.
