LSE’s Department of Management was delighted to host an alumni panel event on careers in technology earlier this month.

The event brought together speakers from a wide range of careers in technology to share their professional experience and what it has been like adapting to the current working environment. Panellists also shared advice and insights about moving into the world of work at this time.

Each panel member spoke to an audience of engaged LSE Management students via Zoom about their career before taking questions from the virtual audience.

Among the panellists were:

  • Freddie Quek, Chief Technology Officer at Times Higher Education (MSc Management of Information Systems 1990 and Chairperson of the event)
  • Louisa Balzien, EMEA Business Development Programme Manager at Amazon (MSc Management and CEMS 2016)
  • Nina Mohanty, Strategy & Expansion at Klarna (MSc Management and CEMS 2017)
  • Aristidis Giannopoulos, Senior Manager, Data & Analytics at EY (MSc MISDI 2009)
  • Ayman Arandi, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Iris Solutions (MISI 2013)

The event was organised by the Department of Management’s Careers team and way open to students across the Department. Attendees learned about the key functions and day-to-day work of the panellists, strategies to get started in similar lines of work, and the current realities of careers in these sectors.
