The Department of Management is delighted to announce that Dr Nicolette Sullivan, Assistant Professor of Marketing, has been selected for the 2025 Society of Neuroeconomics (SNE) Early Career Award.
This award is given to exceptional researchers that have significantly contributed to the field of neuroeconomics within the first ten years of having defended their PhD.
Dr Sullivan commented, "I'm thrilled to be the Early Career Award winner. It means a lot to me, as it recognises the interdisciplinary work that I'm passionate about. This award energises my commitment to advancing research that bridges neuroscience, economics, and consumer behaviour, and opens exciting doors for future collaborations and impact."
Neuroeconomics is a field that represents the confluence of economics, psychology and neuroscience in the study of human decision making. The SNE promotes collaboration and discussion among scholars from the psychological, economic, and neural sciences, and fosters interdisciplinary research to understand the foundations of economic behaviour.
Dr Sullivan has made pioneering contributions to this field, advancing the understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying decision-making and their implications for consumer behaviour, public policy, and society. Her interdisciplinary research integrates computational neuroscience, economics, and marketing to reveal how temporal dynamics, social context, and attentional processes shape value-based decisions.
The award includes a $1,000 monetary prize and an engraved plaque.
