Dr Lidiia Pletneva receives her Responsible Research Award at the 86th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management
Congratulations to Dr Lidiia Pletneva for being selected as winner of the 2026 Responsible Research in Management Award (RRMA), presented at the 86th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (AOM). She received the award for her Academy of Management Journal article titled “Turning work into a refuge: Job crafting as coping with personal, grief-inducing events.”
Dr Pletneva was selected from 121 nominations, which included empirical research articles and research books published since 2023.
“I am deeply honoured to receive the Responsible Research in Management Award,” Dr Pletneva commented. “My biggest motivation in academia has been doing what is helpful and meaningful. Receiving this external recognition of the meaningfulness and societal value of my research makes me feel reassured about the research direction I have been pursuing.”
Each year, the AOM – the leading professional association for management and organisation scholars – recognises scholars outstanding contributions, professional accomplishments, and service.
The RRMA is awarded for rigorously conducted and societally beneficial research contributing knowledge with the potential to make the world a better place. The research must align closely with the seven principles of responsible research:
- Service to society
- valuing both basic and applied contributions,
- valuing plurality and multidisciplinary collaboration,
- sound methodology,
- stakeholder involvement,
- impact on stakeholders,
- broad dissemination.
Herman Aguinis, Chair, AOM Fellows RRMA Steering Committee, said “Being selected as a winner reflects the outstanding impact and excellence of this research. The review committee was deeply impressed by the quality of this scholarship and the meaningful contributions this research offers to management theory, practice, and society.”
