Tell us about your career journey since graduating from LSE.
Following my graduation, I started working in the Technology Crime Suppression Division of the Royal Thai Police. This position presents an exciting opportunity to develop my skills in law enforcement and cybercrime investigation. Additionally, it will allow me to build connections with specialists from diverse backgrounds in both the public and private sectors. This is an ideal chance to cultivate professional relationships and acquire knowledge that I can apply from my master's degree.
How has the programme you studied helped your career since you graduated?
My professional ambition was to become a police officer specialising in cybercrime and technology. Therefore, undertaking the MISDI programme at LSE was an excellent fit for my short and long-term career goals. At LSE I had the flexibility to customise my course selection according to my interests and professional objectives, in areas such as Social Computing, Cloud Technology, and Data Governance. These courses provided me with technical skills including information systems and digital innovation, as well as management skills. With these competencies, knowledge, and responsibilities I am confident that I can make a significant contribution to the field of cybersecurity and serve as a vital member of law enforcement in protecting our communities.
What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve received?
LSE offers numerous captivating activities for students, and I actively participated in various events. This approach has made me a continuous learner, and I enjoy acquiring new skills by attending workshops, taking courses, and seeking opportunities for professional development. In my opinion, the most valuable career advice I received is to be proactive, instead of waiting for opportunities to come my way, I have learnt to create them myself.
What’s the greatest challenge you’ve had to overcome?
One of my greatest accomplishments thus far is sowing the seeds of cybercrime awareness in police communities. I am proud to witness the constant growth of this awareness, which has evolved into a full-fledged tree of understanding. I firmly believe that my dedication and efforts have inspired and influenced numerous police officers and members of the public to change their perceptions and recognise the significance of cybercrime threats.
What are your hopes for the future?
My greatest goal is to create a safer and improved cyber world where individuals can access the internet securely. To achieve this goal, I plan to launch a project that will promote cyber-attack awareness and cybersecurity education. This project will aim to address the content gaps police officers and the public currently lack. The end goal is ensuring that they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to combat cybercrime effectively, contributing to a safer society.
