Dr Margot Salomon awarded 2026 MJIL Prize for Outstanding Scholarship in International Law

Congratulations to Dr Margot Salomon who has been awarded the 2026 Melbourne Journal of International Law Prize for Outstanding Scholarship in International Law.

The 2026 MJIL Prize was awarded to Dr Margot E Salomon (Associate Professor, LSE) for her article, 'Two Parts of a Whole: Material Conditions of Self-Determination and the Palestine Question’. A work of 'pain-staking research and innovative conceptualisation’, the extended article was commended by the panel of academics 'for its original, sophisticated use of primary and secondary sources, skilled engagement with international legal proceedings, and particularly nuanced analysis of the historical relationship between political and economic self-determination’. The Prize was announced at the MJIL Annual Dinner.
