Professor Ibáñez Colomo to host inaugural panel at European Commission's conference on EU Merger Guidelines

Professor Pablo Ibáñez Colomo will be chairing the inaugural panel at the conference organised by the European Commission to discuss the key aspects behind the ongoing reform of its merger control rules. The panel will address two of the main challenges for European economies, namely the relative decline in productivity growth and the need to incentivise innovation. Civil servants, academics and legal representatives of leading European technology companies (BioNTech, Mistral and Nord) will discuss how competition law, and more precisely, merger control, can contribute to improving the performance of our economies.
