LSE Law School team at Vis Moot

10 April 2024

Congratulations to the LSE Law School team at the 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot!

The moot is an annual competition designed to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration and provide a practical training to students for resolving international business disputes. The Law School was represented at the moot in Vienna by (in reverse alphabetical order) Oscar Sarazin, Lariana Sandulescu, Elmasharaf Mukhtar, Samuel Lo, Sveva Galzerano, and Rory Brooks. They put in an exceptionally strong performance, displaying great skill in advocacy and legal reasoning. Competing against almost 400 entrants, the team progressed to the last 32; the LSE team was the only team from the UK to get that far.

The team's strong performance is due in large part to the incredible coaching they received from Julian Ranetunge, Tara Lengersdorf M., Evgeni Kostevitch, and Tian Bokal Šter, supported by Dr Paul Macmahon.
