Born in Kenya and holding both Kenyan and British citizenship, holds a BA in Politics and International Relations from Lancaster University and a masters in Terrorism and Political Violence from St Andrews University. Currently living in London.
Has experience in countering violent extremism research. Previous work as a research intern at the Royal United Service Institute (RUSI) Nairobi on their Strengthening Resilience against Violent Extremism in the Horn of Africa (STRIVE) program. Currently works as a part time personal assistant to Professor Mary Kaldor CBE.

My research aims to uncover the role of ethnicity in sub-Saharan terrorist groups. I employ qualitative research methods to explore the nuances associated with these two paradigms interact.
