LSE ID Wellbeing Planters

Wellbeing planters, herbs and flowers for wellbeing brews

As part of LSE ID's Green Impact initiative, we’re introducing a wellbeing planter on campus (Shaw Library roof), designed to support both people and the planet.

Planted with a mix of herbs and wildflowers, the planter will offer students and staff the chance to pick herbs for calming, homemade teas, promoting everyday wellbeing, saving money, and encouraging moments of connection with nature.

The wildflowers will also support bees and boost biodiversity on campus, helping to create a more sustainable environment for all.

How to make a brew:

  1. Pick a few young leaves of your selected plants
  2. Rinse well
  3. Place in a reusable mug/cup/flask
  4. Pour boiling water over the leaves and let brew for 5 mins
  5. Enjoy!
  6. If you'd like a cold brew, let your drink cool down and add some LSE honey and ice!

While generally safe, some individuals may be allergic to some of the herbs and flowers below, especially those with pollen allergies. If trying a new herbal tea, start with a small amount to see how your body reacts. Consult your doctor if in doubt.
