Europe 30 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall

This report follows the first annual workshop which was hosted by the Central and South-East Europe Programme Desk on 17 and 18 June 2019 at the Political Science Faculty of Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

We present seven original research contributions. Each paper emphasises developments that take place or impact Central and Eastern Europe in a different way. Contributions include:

  • the cultural gap between Western and Eastern Europe
  • religion, gender and society
  • polycentric global order
  • economic nationalism
