Communications and Events Coordinator, The Global School of Sustainability at LSE
Salary from £32,890 to £36,052 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £38,422 pa inclusive of London allowance. This is a fixed term appointment for 2 years.
In our set-up phase, GSoS is seeking a reliable, organised and adaptable Communications and Events Coordinator to support the delivery of a growing schedule of events and to provide support across a broad and dynamic portfolio of communications and engagement activity, while helping to shape the future of the institute through a proactive approach to developing procedures and ways of working. This evolving role works directly with the Communications and Events Manager and will involve close collaboration and teamwork with GSoS staff and wider LSE networks.
The ideal candidate will have event coordination experience, strong written English and proof-reading skills and an organised and proactive approach to tasks.

Salary is no less than £68,087 per annum and the salary scale can be found on the LSE website.
The successful candidate will join our dynamic academic community producing outstanding research and delivering excellent teaching on environment and sustainability. We are especially interested in applicant whose work addresses the economics of biodiversity and ecosystems; ecology and economics or ecological economics; economic aspects of nature and biodiversity policy.

Salary is no less than £68,087 per annum and the salary scale can be found on the LSE website. This appointment is tenable from September 2026.
Candidates must have expertise and research interests in an area of philosophy that has a substantial research connection to sustainability. Candidates must be able to develop a new course in philosophy and sustainability, and be able to make a substantial, research-led contribution to the Department’s core teaching provision.
This role involves extensive collaboration with GSoS. Candidates are expected to be committed to this collaboration and willing to contribute to GSoS activities. We therefore particularly welcome candidates whose work bears on GSoS’s five research themes.
