State of AI and Society | AI's Quantitative Impacts on Labour Markets

The evidence database focuses on 74 publications that answer the question of how much AI impacts employment and wages. It does not include publications that we identified as non-research publications, reviews and syntheses of the literature, or studies that take no position on the direction or magnitude of AI's effect on employment or wages.

Appendix B of our report, State of AI and Society: AI's Quantitative Impacts on Labour Markets, describes how we constructed the database, how we coded the publications and how interested readers can use it.

We want the database to keep pace with a fast-moving literature, so please get in touch if there is work you think we should add, or if you would classify a study differently.

The evidence database was conceived and built by LSE PhD students.
