The LSE Department of Finance is pleased to announce four promotions for members of our Faculty.
Vicente Cuñat and Dong Lou have both become Professors of Finance, while Ashwini Agrawal and Juanita Gonzalez-Uribe are promoted to Associate Professors of Finance.
Professor Cuñat received his PhD in Economics from LSE in 2001, then worked at UPF in Barcelona before rejoining LSE in 2007 as an Assistant Professor. Since returning to LSE he has published research on a range of topics, from Corporate Finance and Governance to Labour and Personnel Economics. Professor Lou joined LSE as an Assistant Professor in 2009, having completed his PhD at Yale that same year. His award-winning research has focused on Asset Pricing, Investment Management, and Behavioural Finance.
Dr Agrawal joined LSE in 2015 from NYU's Stern School of Business, while Dr Gonzalez-Uribe arrived at LSE in 2013 following a PhD at Columbia University. They recently worked together on an article 'Measuring the Ex-Ante Incentive Effects of Creditor Control Rights During Bankruptcy Reorganization', published in the Journal of Financial Economics (143:1, 381-408).
