Professor Kevin Featherstone awarded honorary doctorate for outstanding contribution to European politics and Greek studies

On 22 June 2026, Professor Kevin Featherstone, Emeritus Professor at the European Institute, was awarded an honorary Doctor of Philosophy (honoris causa) by the University of Nicosia in recognition of his ‘outstanding contribution to European Politics and Greek Studies’.

I was very honoured to receive an honorary doctorate (honoris causa) at the University of Nicosia. My thanks to the Rector and faculty, but especially to Christina Ioannou for her kind and generous speech of justification. And to the friends who came.
