Can Europe achieve digital sovereignty?

On 18 November, Germany hosted a Franco-German summit to discuss European digital sovereignty.
In a new article for the LSE European Politics and Policy (EUROPP) Blog, our Visiting Senior Fellow Dr Bob Hancké and Angela Garcia Calvo take a closer look at what a European digital policy would entail. Instead of spending on areas where Europe is already behind China and the US, they argue, it may make more sense to focus on long-term future digital growth areas.
