Welcome 2025 activities for BSc Economics students (23-27 September):

See the schedule for Year 1 undergraduate students Welcome events below. 

Tuesday 23 September (Morning)

Campus Enrolment

Various time slots between 10.15am and 11.15am | Marshall Building (MAR)

You must attend your allocated enrolment session set for your programme. The time slot listed for your programme’s enrolment session is the time that you should join the enrolment queue.

Tuesday 23 September (Afternoon)

Welcome Talk

12.15pm-1.15pm | Sheikh Zayed Theatre, Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK)

Meet our department staff members and hear more about what to expect during your course.

Lunch

1.15pm-2.30pm | Lower ground reception area of Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK)

After your Welcome Talk, unwind with your cohort and join our Department of Economics community for light refreshments.

Course choice session

2.30pm-4.30pm | Sheikh Zayed Theatre, Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK)

Head back into the Sheikh Zayed Theatre (right next to the Lower ground floor area of CKK) to learn about the course selection process and key factors to consider when selecting your course choices.

Wednesday 24 September

Consent Ed sessions

Wednesday 24 September (Evening)

Welcome Social for Year 1 students in the LSE Department of Economics

5pm-9pm | The Kingpin Suite, Bloomsbury Bowling Lanes

Strike up an evening of friendly competition with your cohort at a lively bowling alley – complete with a drink and tasty snacks to kick things off. Once you’ve fuelled up, hit the lanes and test your skills. For even more fun and games, challenge a new friend to some arcade games. If you’re feeling brave, why not try some karaoke? Whether you’re aiming for a perfect strike or chasing a high score, it’s all about good vibes and great company!

You will need to bring your LSE Student ID card and proof of age (e.g. driver’s license, passport, national ID card) to gain entry

Friday 26 September

Treasure Hunt

10am-1pm | Location TBC (Details about the exact timings and logistics will be shared with you closer to the time via email)

A trail of clues will lead you and fellow students around the LSE campus and beyond. You will need a sharp mind, great teamwork and quick feet to find the treasure!
