Amanda Dahlstrand is a PhD candidate in Economics, focusing on labor economics. She has research interests also in development, organizational and health economics. She has co-authored papers on the long-run effects of infrastructure and property rights in urban Africa (Journal of Political Economy, 2021), and on how performance pay interacts with national culture using firm experiments in different countries (with Oriana Bandiera and Greg Fischer). Prior to the PhD, she worked as a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Amanda holds a MA in Development Economics from Yale University and a BA in PPE from Oxford University.
