Alex is a PhD Economics candidate in the Department of Economics at LSE. His primary research interests are development economics and organisational economics. In particular, he is interested in studying the organisational barriers to firm formation in developing countries.

Alex holds an MSc in International Development from SOAS, University of London, and an MSc in Theoretical Physics from Utrecht University. Before joining the Department, he worked as a predoctoral fellow at the Center for the Economics of Human Development at the University of Chicago.
