From ex-pats and immigrants to gap-year students and Travellers, the movement of people from place to place is perceived in vastly different ways by different people. Why and how is travel politicized and racialized? Why do we travel and what’s the value of it? And what do philosophers have to say about it? We address these questions and explore what the future of travel in a time of climate change and pandemics.

Colin Clark (@profcolinclark) is Professor of Sociology and Social Policy, The University of the West of Scotland.

Nick Hayes (@nickhayesillus1) is an illustrator and the author of The Book of Trespass: Crossing the Lines that Divide Us.

Emily Thomas (@emilytwrites) is Associate Professor of Philosophy, Durham University.

Sarah Fine (@DrSJFine) is a Fellow of the Forum for Philosophy and Senior Lecturer in Philosophy, King’s College London.
