About me

Javiera is an economist who has worked across a spectrum of policy areas using several micro-econometrics techniques and policy-evaluation methodologies. Her research at CPEC focuses on geographical inequalities in health, wellbeing, and social care, as well as the economic evaluation of social-care services.

As part of the Models of Support for Moderate needs in Older People project (MSMOP), she is currently analysing local authority records to gather critical new evidence about how best to support older people with low and moderate social care needs. This research employs underused data to help provide information about the pressures facing the publicly funded social care system in England.

Javiera is also a coordinator of the International Long-Term Care Policy Network (ILPN).
