Shailey Gokhale is a Research Coordinator at the Care Policy and Evaluation Centre (CPEC), London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is a Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholar and holds an MSc in Global Health Policy from LSE, where her research focused on healthcare financing and quality of care. She also holds a Master of Public Health in Social Epidemiology from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, India.
Shailey brings over seven years of diverse experience across national and international public health organisations. Before joining CPEC, she served as a Senior Program Officer at Jhpiego (Johns Hopkins University affiliate) in India, leading implementation of a USAID-funded primary health care programme. She has also worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) on epidemic response and surveillance, and with India’s Ministry of Health through the National Health Systems Resource Centre, contributing to policy development for Comprehensive Primary Health Care.
Her work spans programme design and implementation, research coordination, and policy advocacy, with a strong focus on health systems strengthening and community health. Shailey is particularly interested in bridging research and policy to drive improvements in health service delivery and equity.
