Analytics Note #02, The COVID-19 Response: Governance Challenges and Innovations by Cities and Regions, highlights the most common challenges, innovations, and knowledge gaps facing cities and regions as they respond to COVID-19. The note is based on a survey of nearly 60 cities and regions in 35 countries, spanning every continent, as well as a systematic review of relevant online resources.

This Analytics Note is part of the led by LSE Cities, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), and the World Association of the Major Metropolises (Metropolis). This Initiative investigates the institutional dimensions of rapid and radical action in response to global emergencies to provide city and regional governments with framework.
