On 19 Mar 2017, the UK based section of the pilot HSBC Intercultural Management programme came to a successful conclusion. The programme is a combination of two weekend immersion programmes, weekly in-company classes, a two-week intensive course at Tsinghua University and an HSK exam. The programme was attended by 11 International Managers from HSBC who studied Chinese language and business culture during the programme to enable them to engage efficiently and productively with Chinese counter-parts in business situations. The programme received very positive feedback from the participants. After successfully piloting this programme in 2016/2017 with HSBC, CIBL now plans to launch a new International Managers’ Programme in 2018.
