LSE alumni help lead, shape and strengthen our global LSE community.
With more than 240,000 alumni worldwide, the LSE Alumni Association connects a diverse network working across the public, private and non-profit sectors.
The Association represents and supports all LSE alumni, helping to strengthen relationships between alumni and the School, and with one another.
We are fortunate that so many alumni volunteer their time and expertise to support LSE, its students, faculty and alumni community. Members of the Global Alumni Board, Regional Liaison Committee officers, and leaders of more than 130 regional groups and professional and inclusion networks play a vital role in this work.
Our alumni volunteers are vital ambassadors for LSE - helping to amplify the School’s voice globally, creating opportunities for connection, and ensuring that LSE remains at the forefront of understanding the causes of things for the betterment of society.
Global Alumni Board
Global Alumni Board members play an important role in representing the entire alumni community. The Global Alumni Board composition reflects LSE's global community, and alumni members are called on to embody and advocate for all alumni in partnership with LSE, via interaction with the School’s Philanthropy and Global Engagement division (PAGE).
The Global Alumni Board is led by a Chair and two Vice Chairs who are among the School’s most senior alumni volunteer leaders.
On 1 September 2026 the new members of the Global Alumni Board commenced their three year term.
The Chair of the LSE Alumni Association and its Global Alumni Board is one of the School’s most senior alumni volunteer leaders. The Chair is the primary outward face of alumni, the Association and the Global Alumni Board.

Fongtien Miao is Vice President at Far East Capital. She has spent over 20 years across financial journalism, private banking, and family office investment in Asia.
The Vice Chairs serve on behalf of the LSE Alumni Association and the Global Alumni Board and is the primary inward, operational face of the Global Alumni Board.

Aly Banner is Director of Legal Strategy, Planning and Execution at Astellas Pharma. With 20+ years' experience in change and transformation, she has led programmes for BP, GSK and Anglo American. Aly has been a LSE mentor since 2022.
General Course 1998 and MSc Comparative Politics 2004 - USA
Carlos Lejnieks is CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Newark, which he has grown into one of the nation's largest agencies. He is co-founder of Democracy Prep Public Schools and serves on Brown University's board.
These board members are an essential conduit between LSE and the alumni community; through their work they connect alumni to the School and its strategy, and in turn ensure the School connects with the community and understands its needs.
Priscilla Abishegam is Chief Strategy Officer and Director of Corporate and Legal Affairs at Azimuth International Group. A specialist in maritime law and corporate strategy, she is a recognised speaker on governance and leadership.

Felipe de Gamboa is an international energy executive with over 25 years' experience in oil, gas and renewable energy. An LSE alumni volunteer since 2014, he has championed alumni engagement through leadership and mentorship.
BSc Accounting and Finance 2001 - India
Aparna Jain is Assistant Vice President at Tata Group, specialising in talent, learning and leadership, focusing on early careers. An ICAEW-qualified chartered accountant and entrepreneur, she has built programmes for emerging talent.
MSc Development Studies 2010 - Kenya
Daniel Ndung'u works for the Equity Group Foundation/Equity Bank Group in Nairobi. He has led programmes across food systems, agriculture, renewable energy and financial inclusion.
Regional Liaison Co-Chair - MSc Sociology 2013 - The Netherlands
Francisco González Centeno is an officer at the International Criminal Court, specialising in access to justice and information rights. He previously held roles at UNESCO and the Chambers of the Chief Justice of Argentina.
MSc Media, Communication and Development 2012 - Italy
Ria Sen is Global Telecommunications Preparedness Officer at the UN World Food Programme, supporting disaster readiness globally. Her career spans seven UN and European institutions and she lectures internationally on technology resilience.
MSc European Studies 1999 - USA
Sandra Stella is PCAOB Audit Growth Lead at Grassi. Her global career has included roles in diplomacy, international development, and nonprofit leadership across Europe, Africa and North America. She is on the AFLSE Board.
LLM 2012 - Greece
Izabella M. Tsirba is Head Counsel, Finance & Capital Markets at Titan Group. A dual-qualified lawyer in Greece and England & Wales, she specialises in corporate finance law with an interest in corporate governance and sustainability.
MSc Social and Public Communication 2019 - UK/Jamaica
Brian Walker is a strategist with global experience in corporate affairs, public diplomacy and social research. He played a pivotal role in honouring Sir Arthur Lewis at LSE and co-led the School's alumni engagement strategy.
Head of Alumni Engagement, Ex-officio Board Member
Ceri has been LSE’s Head of Alumni Engagement since 2019. She and her team lead programmes for 240,000+ alumni, focusing on volunteering, advocacy, lifelong learning, community and support services.
Alumni Engagement & Volunteering Manager
Sophie manages LSE’s Alumni Engagement and Volunteering Team, leading alumni volunteering, regional engagement and advocacy programmes. She drives participation and supports delivery of the School’s volunteering campaign goals.
Shontae leads the development of LSE’s professional and inclusion alumni networks, creating frameworks that support their growth and impact. She is also the primary contact for the Global Alumni Board and its activities.

Regional Liaison Committee
The Regional Liaison Committee officers play a vital role in helping to maintain the connection between the global alumni community, and the recognised alumni groups and networks, and the School. Members act as conduit for LSE to hear from the community, to connect alumni to the School and its strategy, and to highlight community needs. In turn, they act as key advocates for the School, helping to amplify LSE’s voice around the world.
