Supporting our most vulnerable students

While vaccines provide a light at the end of this very long tunnel, the physical, mental, emotional and financial hardship caused by COVID-19 continues to permeate every level of global society.

Minouche Shafik, LSE Director

LSE Director Minouche Shafik has launched an urgent appeal for the Student Hardship Fund which provides financial assistance for students who have fallen into short-term, unforeseen hardship.

By March this year, we had already received more requests for hardship support than we had in the whole of the 2019/20 academic year – and applications are still increasing for both UK-based and remote-learning students. Donations can make a significant impact to a student in need - it could make the difference between continuing their LSE education and graduating from LSE, or not.

We have provided below suggested social media posts for you to share with your LSE alumni groups’ or on your own social media channels.
