About me

Tosin joined the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa in June 2022 as Senior Programme Manager for the Programme for African Leadership (PfAL), a capacity-building and leadership development initiative to empower LSE postgraduate students as future leaders of Africa.

Tosin’s areas of responsibility are: the Programme for African Leadership and the PfAL Alumni Network, member of the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa Senior Leadership Team, develop collaborations to enhance PfAL and the work of the Firoz Lalji Institute in Africa.

Prior to this, he was Senior International Officer at the University of Sussex where he had oversight for strategic and operational aspects around student recruitment, partnerships, and brand visibility in Africa and the Middle East. During this time, he was Chair of the Africa Regional Interest Group for the British Universities International Liaison (BUILA). He currently serves on the Board of Governors for Chichester College Group in a voluntary capacity.

He completed his undergraduate degree from the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and later obtained a Master’s from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

He is a strategist, culture catalyst and social entrepreneur working at the intersection of education, society, business and development. He has over 15 years of experience working in higher education to advance mutually-respectful stakeholder engagement that advances leadership and capacity building.

He is passionate about driving innovation from within organisations and has over 10 years of facilitating experiential workshops using a range of approaches including Action Learning, Lego Serious Play and Design Thinking.

His research interests include inclusive leadership and innovation, corporate citizenship, organisational culture, and employee engagement in higher education. When he is not working, he enjoys hiking, chess, PC gaming and martial arts and has been known to happily indulge in a good binge on Netflix!
