Partnerships

African Engagement Programme

The Firoz Lalji Centre for Africa is always looking to develop partnerships that further our strategic objectives. We strive to connect and collaborate with organisations that share our values in order to increase the impact of our work and the work of our partners.

Our partnerships fall under these main categories:

Event and Programme Partnerships:

Sponsor or participate in the PfAL Forum

The PfAL Forum will be taking place in West Africa in September of 2020. This event will bring together PfAL alumni, many who are leaders of various industries on the continent, to discuss the future of the network along with various issues facing the continent. If you would like to collaborate with us in putting on this event, or you would like to sponsor a portion of the event, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Propose a joint event

Our FLCA Events team delivers an assortment of events open to the LSE community and to the wider public. If there is an event that you believe aligns with the work of the Africa Centre, please contact us with your ideas and proposals.

Contribute to the AEP Transition Lab

Are you an expert in your field or a particular industry? Do you have extensive experience working on the continent? Do you want to provide mentorship and guidance to students looking to return to Africa? If so, please enquire about participating in the Africa Engagement Program (AEP) Transition Lab.

Participate in our Africa Summit

Annually, the Africa Summit is looking for speakers and sponsors to contribute to the Summit. If you would like to participate in the Summit, sponsor a panel, or be a part of the career fair, please make sure to connect with us.

Research Partnerships:

Build pathways for knowledge exchange and research collaboration

The FLCA is always looking to expand the reach of our research. We have been successful in attracting various grants to support the work that we do and would like to continue to promote research on the continent. Several researchers affiliated with the FLCA have provided policy recommendations to various institutions and governments and some also work in consulting capacities. If you or your academic institution would like to collaborate on a research project or publication, or you need support in our areas of expertise, please contact us.

Corporate Partnerships:

Join the African Employer Network

The Africa Engagement Programme can provide access to a wide pool of LSE graduates trained with the knowledge and skills to greatly contribute to any working environment. If you would like to advertise a post or build a relationship with the FLCA to provide internships or employment opportunities to our students and alumni, please join the African Employer Network.

Donate to the Firoz Lalji Centre for Africa

The FLCA and the Africa Engagement Programme is always looking to develop relationships with individual donors or corporate sponsors to further advance our research and programmes. We work closely with the LSE Philanthropy and Global Engagement (PAGE) office to ensure that we meet the needs of anyone interested in supporting the work of the Centre. Please contact us if you are interested in the work that we do.
