Why do we need food banks?

The UK is the world's fifth largest economy with low levels of unemployment, yet the demand for food banks is rising. As the cost of living crisis is predicted to increase poverty, we are re-running this episode of LSEiQ podcast from 2019 in which Joanna Bale talks to clients at a food bank in West London, as well as its founder Daphine Aikens.
